Samsung display announced to develop 1000ppi OLED screen technology

Samsung display announced on May 12 that it will lead a national project in South Korea to develop special oxide TFT transistors and produce OLED panels with a display density of 1000 PPI, according to the elec.

Officials say the company's goal is to develop new oxide TFT thin film transistors that will move ten times faster than existing products. The technology is expected to be developed successfully in 2024. In addition, Samsung display is also committed to reducing the power consumption and manufacturing costs of TFTs.
